How to Test Mic-Lock 3.5mm Microphone Blocker -Soundpass - Laptop


Windows

  1. Use “Voice Recorder” a free app for recording audio.
  2. Hit the big Record button.
  3. Plug in the Mic-Lock and the recording will show a flat waveform – nothing is being recorded with Mic-Lock plugged in.
  4. Remove the Mic-Lock and audio capture will be enabled. 

Linux and Ubuntu

  1. Install Pavucontrol (PulseAudio Volume Control) using apt-get or the Ubuntu Software Center.

  2. Open PulseAudio Volume Control.

  3. Open Sound Recorder and start recording.

  4. Go to the "Recording" tab in the PulseAudio Volume Control window.

  5. Make sure that "Applications" is selected in the drop-down menu on the "Recording" tab.

  6. Plug in the Mic-Lock and audio recording will not be captured.
