Will my iPhone still hear my "Hey Siri" command even with Mic-Lock on?Updated 9 months ago
If "Hey Siri" is enabled in Settings, iOS will remain active for your "Hey Siri" voice print.
Enabling "Hey Siri" is a global system command that is always on. If you say "Hey Siri, create an appointment" or "set a timer," the Siri icon on the screen will cycle, then time out and return to the last active app. Although the iPhone will hear "Hey Siri," no tasks or commands will follow.
Mic-Lock becomes the active mic at the system audio input, which is why Siri needs to "hear" the various app commands.
We do not recommend having Siri or any other voice assistant enabled.
